Curious Herbal

The first herbal published by a woman, A Curious Herbal was originally published in the 1730s and was a comprehensive guide to both familiar plants and new medicinal plants found in the Americas. Widely praised by doctors and apothecaries for it's detailed illustrations and handwritten notes, this is one of the most well-loved herbalism books to this day. This modern edition also features introductions that provide historical context for the book.
