This is a well known cultivar in the potato world with is thin yellow, eye free skin.It was actually developed in Canada in the 1960s by Garnet ("Gary") Johnston. They are best roasted, mashed or used in potato salad recipes. It has a creamy, buttery flavour and has won many accolades over the years. Yellow potato can have twice the antioxidants of white potatoes. They are an early season crop making them great for short growing seasons like Calgary.
